Blanchard said because Jeanette Zapata's body was dumped in numerous Dumpsters at the landfill, there is no way to recover her remains.

McCanns telephoned England and lied to family and friends the night they claim Madeleine was abducted telling them there had been a break-in and shutters were smashed and jemmied. Police report , no sign of broken entry !!... Staff member saw two cots in McCann apartment in SEPERATE rooms the day before Madeleine disappeared May 3rd the McCanns had placed both cots in the room they claim Madeleine was taken from ...Last but not least ,there is not one single shred of evidence there was an abduction, just the word of the parents...

Tony Hatfield has been worrying away about the role of Clarence Mitchell in acting on the behalf of the McCann family (quite where the brothers and sisters uncles and aunts begin and end is a little unclear) and e-mailed the Central Office of Information, to try and find out more about the former BBC employee who is so much in the limelight.Having received a reply which is described as confidential and copyright etc., he is happy to divulge what they had to say - Clarence Mitchell is on secondment to the Foreign Office (from the COI) for the specific purpose of "handling media relations related to the Madeleine McCann "disappearance" [ note not abduction - points out Tony] in Portugal".
Any further enquiries must be directed to the FCO - a not unfamiliar Sir Humphrey style exercise in not answering the question whilst at the same time elegantly passing the buck and closing off further enquiries.... and adding the merest soupcon of delay.
So (says Tony) this is the upshot. The British taxpayer seems to be paying for a media consultant to a private company with no charitable status and over £300,000 quid in the bank.

The USDA's Wildlife Services Program, which contracts with farmers for bird control, said it used an avicide poison called DRC-1339 to cull a roost of 5,000 birds that were defecating on a farmer's cattle feed across the state line in Nebraska. But officials said the agency had nothing to do with large and dense recent bird kills in Arkansas and Louisiana.
Nevertheless, the USDA's role in the South Dakota bird deaths puts a focus on a little-known government bird-control program that began in the 1960s under the name of Bye Bye Blackbird, which eventually became part of the USDA and was housed in the late '60s at a NASA facility. In 2009, USDA agents euthanized more than 4 million red-winged blackbirds, starlings, cowbirds, and grackles, primarily using pesticides that the government says are not harmful to pets or humans.
In addition to the USDA program, a so-called depredation order from the US Fish and Wildlife Service allows blackbirds, grackles, and starlings to be killed by anyone who says they pose health risks or cause economic damage. Though a permit is needed in some instances, the order is largely intended to cut through red tape for farmers, who often employ private contractors to kill the birds and do not need to report their bird culls to any authority.
"Every winter, there's massive and purposeful kills of these blackbirds," says Greg Butcher, the bird conservation director at the National Audubon Society. "These guys are professionals, and they don't want to advertise their work. They like to work fast, efficiently, and out of sight."
While the USDA keeps tabs on the number of birds the program euthanizes, the total death toll isn't known because private contractors operating under the depredation order aren't required to keep count in the case of blackbirds, cowbirds, grackles, and starlings.
"My biggest concern is we don't know how many birds are being killed, and we don't have a sense of how at risk the rusty blackbird is because of depredation events in their range," says Mr. Butcher.

NEW CASTLE, Del. — A team of police crime scene investigators returned to the home of slain former Pentagon official John P. Wheeler III, spending about four hours inside and leaving with a large paper bag and several manila envelopes stuffed with suspected evidence.
Newark police, who are leading the investigation, acknowledged Tuesday they still have no suspects in the 66-year-old Wheeler’s beating death.
Investigators had not been to his home since the initial days after his body was discovered Dec. 31 being dumped into Cherry Island Landfill in Wilmington, Del. The Delaware Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled that he was beaten to death during an assault and died of “blunt-force trauma.”
Lt. Mark Farrall, Newark police spokesman, would not say whether new leads brought officers back to the home or whether the search was part of a routine follow-up in the homicide investigation that involves several local agencies and the FBI.
Farrall said his department’s officers “were out at the house. Other than that, I can’t comment further.”
Neighbor Robert Dill, who lives two doors from the Wheeler home, has been retrieving mail and keeping an eye on the home while Wheeler’s widow, Katherine Klyce, spends most of her time at the couple’s Manhattan condominium. Dill said he noticed a couple of unmarked cars in the driveway and later saw the crime van and other vehicles arrive.
Dill said the officers waved hello but did not say anything to him.
“First time in weeks I’ve seen anybody,” Dill said.
Colm F. Connolly, a former U.S. attorney for Delaware who is representing Wheeler’s family, said he could not comment on the latest search for evidence. The family has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Mike Starr, the former Alice in Chains bass player who went public with his drug problems on a reality TV show, has been found dead nine years after the band's singer died of an overdose.
The body of the 44-year-old Starr was discovered on Tuesday in a house in Salt Lake City according to police.
Starr left Alice in Chains shortly after the release of their breakthrough 1992 album Dirt and before they went on to enjoy greater success during the heyday of Seattle grunge.
But the band was rocked in 2002 by the death of singer Layne Staley, whose body was found in a Seattle apartment.
The remaining members resurrected the group with relative success in recent years, although Starr had largely disappeared by this time.
He was arrested in Salt Lake City three weeks ago on an outstanding warrant related to an earlier drugs charge, and was also carrying unauthorised prescription medications.
A spokesman for the Salt Lake City police separtment said that officers responded to call about a possible body at a residence in the city centre earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
"There is nothing to indicate that this was foul play by another individual," police said.
