Ed Smart and Elizabeth have lied, lied and lied some more...the American people unable to think for themselves and question why there was no forensic, why Ed Smarts 911 call has never been heard and when have you ever heard of a person held for seven years without charge?. The McCanns however have fooled not only Ed Smart but the world . However, I have to mention with the WIKILEAKS US Cable revealing it was the BRITISH POLICE who were building a case against the McCanns has got them rattled somewhat, not just them but their publisher the price for the book has already dropped. But it appears the publisher is an American and the book will be marketed in the States so the McCanns intend to take you all for a ride once again in the new year. Maybe Ed Smart will give them a hand to fool the 'Non Mormons' of the USA.

A seasons greeting message also from the McCanns lawyer in Portugal...The McCanns DO NOT want the case reopened. If the case IS re-opened Dr.David Payne will have to explain the paedophile allegations against him.AND if David Payne goes down you can be sure he will take the rest of them down with him and that means he will spill the beans on what REALLY happened to Madeleine McCann.

The police witness statement the McCanns are terrified will become public knowledge.

Ed Smarts 'STORY' documented for its inconsistancies...The McCanns 'STORY also documented for its inconsistances

Ed Smart 'Inconsistancies'in above link...Ed Smart was very clever and had any damning evidence against Elizabeth removed from the net. The McCanns have not been so lucky, every word they have uttered , every lie thave have told is on the Internet, etched in stone . Gerry McCann deleted his blog but then a very clever lady named PAMALAM had already screen shot the blog. McCanns through their lawyers Carter Ruck , have tried to threaten PAMALAM and have this blog closed. The blog for the moment remains still, for public viewing. The blog in question has the entire police investigation and of course the GASPAR statement. Gerry McCanns blogs can be read at leisure and some may well gasp when Dr.McCann was begged by the Portugues Police to not mention the defect in Madeleines eye, the reason,  he may well be signing her death warrant.  Dr.McCann ignored this advice  and said ' Although he knew the ' abductor' could do something to her eye, it was a good marketing ploy'.... and of course would bring much money into the 'fund' the fund ,they themselves are in full control of. One day hopefully the McCanns will be charged with fraud and punished for their lies and deceit.

What happened to Madeleine McCann?

50 facts about the case that the British media are not telling you

Among other things you’ll find in the new leaflet that is to be printed in the New Year:

The major contradictions in the statements of the McCanns and friends
The highly trained British police dogs who detected the scent of a corpse
Strange things the McCanns have said and done
How the McCanns wasted public money on useless private detectives

Can we be sure that Madeleine McCann really was abducted by a stranger? Please take a careful look at these facts about the case, which you won’t find in any of our mainstream media. And if you are concerned about the contents of this leaflet, please copy and pass on to your friends and contacts.

SECTION A. What happened before and after Madeleine was reported missing?

1. The McCanns originally claimed they found the shutters and window of the children’s room open. They ’phoned relatives that night saying: ‘An abductor broke in and took Madeleine’. But when police and the managers of the complex declared there was no sign of forced entry, they changed their story, saying they must have left the patio doors open. The window had been cleaned the day before. Only Kate McCann’s fingerprints were found on the window.

2. The McCanns gave different accounts of whether they were both with Madeleine at tea-time on the day Madeleine was reported missing - and gave three different versions of who read the children bedtime stories the night Madeleine was reported missing: (a) Kate (b) Gerry or (c) they both did.

3. Kate McCann said that their friend Dr David Payne knocked on the front door of their apartment at about 6.30pm on 3 May, but was immediately sent away without ever entering. Dr Payne, however, said he came in, saw all three children dressed ready for bed, and stayed for at least several minutes.

4. The McCanns said the children were in their pyjamas by 6.30pm the night Madeleine disappeared, were bathed at 7.00pm and asleep by 7.30pm. But just a few weeks later, in his blog, Gerry McCann wrote: “The twins must like their new cots as they were asleep by 7.30pm which was most unusual”.

5. The McCanns claimed they were the ‘first to arrive’ at the Tapas restaurant on the evening of 3 May, but their friend Rachael Oldfield said they were ‘the last to arrive’.

6. The McCanns’ friend Dr Matthew Oldfield changed his story several times about what he did that evening. He said he did one ‘check’ on the children, then said he’d done two. He also changed his story about the 2nd check, first saying he only walked by the McCanns’ apartment, but later saying he’d entered it. Moreover, Dr Kate McCann said that when Dr Oldfield went to check on the children, he said: ‘I’ll check on Maddie for you’. It seems he didn’t say: ‘I’ll check on the children for you’.

7. The McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner insisted she’d seen someone carrying a child close to the McCanns’ apartment at 9.15pm the evening she was reported missing. But she changed her description of this person several times. Later, one of the McCanns’ detectives said she might have seen a woman, not a man. She claimed that when she saw this man, she walked past Gerry McCann and a friend, Jez Wilkins. But neither of them could remember seeing her.

8. Instead of looking for Madeleine, two friends of the McCanns tore off the cover of Madeleine’s Activity Sticker Book, writing down what they claimed was a record of the night’s events. They then wrote out a second timeline of what they said happened. In both versions, they said Jane Tanner had seen an abductor around 9.15pm. But she did not tell the McCanns what she had seen for 24 hours.

9. The McCanns claimed they were dining yards from their children, said they could see their room, and said it was ‘just like being in your back garden’. In truth, the children’s room was 120 yards away and the children’s room was on the far side of the apartment block and they couldn’t see their room.

10. Gerry McCann on 4 May (the day after Madeleine went missing) said: “Yesterday, Madeleine and and the twins were put to bed in their respective beds at 7.30pm”. Yet when the police arrived at about 11.00pm, they found a bed where Madeleine was supposed to have slept and two cots. Moreover, in a magazine interview in January 2008, Gerry McCann said: “On one bed the twins lay sleeping.

11. The McCanns said Madeleine and younger brother Sean were crying on their own the night before she was reported missing. Yet they left all three children on their own again the very next night.

12. Gerry McCann claimed that a senior Social Services official had told him: “Your child care was well within the bounds of responsible parenting”. He has never said who that was.

13. The McCanns, when asked a simple question as to whether they had given the children Calpol or other sedatives the night Madeleine was reported missing, denied on TV ever giving their children Calpol or other sedatives. But Kate McCann’s father confirmed that they did give the children Calpol.

14. The McCanns said: “Madeleine does not like to be called Maddie and does not answer to Maddie”. But Gerry McCann called her ‘Maddie’ on Friends Reunited, the twins called her ‘Maddie’, and their relatives and friends called her ‘Maddie’. A long list of examples is at

15. Kate McCann said that when she went to their apartment at 10.00pm on 3 May, she was 100% sure that Madeleine had been ‘taken’. But the McCanns allowed their 7 friends, several staff from the Ocean Club, and others, to traipse all round their apartment, thus contaminating a crime scene where vital forensic evidence could have been found. The police found no forensic trace of any abductor.

16. On the night Madeleine was reported missing, two sets of police arrived, the local GNR, and then the national force, the PJ. On the first occasion, Gerry McCann fell down on his knees, spreading out his arms on the ground, rather like a Muslim at prayer. On the second occasion, both Gerry and Kate McCann repeated that same strange gesture, on the double bed in their apartment, in front of the PJ.

17. On 4 May, the day after Madeleine went missing, the McCanns were returning to Praia da Luz. The police seized CCTV film at a petrol station, showing a girl similar to Madeleine with two adults. The police asked the McCanns to return to Portimão, but Kate McCann became irritated at being asked to visit the police station again. The police said she showed no hope Madeleine could be found.

18. In a BBC TV interview, Kate McCann admitted that she had never spent any time at all physically looking for Madeleine.

19. The Portuguese police were told by British police: “The McCanns have no credit or ATM cards”. But their flights to Portugal and hire of a Renault Scenic in Portugal were paid with credit cards. Then Gerry McCann admitted having credit cards, saying they went missing after his wallet was stolen. He gave two different places where his wallet was stolen: Waterloo Station - or ‘near Downing Street’.

20. After she was taken in for questioning on 7 September, Kate McCann was asked 48 questions by the Portuguese police. She refused to answer any of them. She was asked if she realised that she was hindering the investigation by refusing to answer questions. She said: “Yes, if that’s what the investigation thinks”. Their official spokesman, former head of Labour’s Media Unit, Clarence Mitchell, stated: “The McCanns were fully within their rights not to co-operate”.

21. Mitchell was appointed the McCanns’ spokesman by former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Mitchell once boasted that as the £75,000-a-year Head of Unit, his job was ‘to control what comes out in the media’. When Mitchell’s post with the McCanns became part-time, he immediately landed a job with Freud Communications, owned and managed by Rupert Murdoch’s son-in-law, Matthew Freud.

22. The McCanns said publicly in August 2007: “We will take a lie detector test at any time”. Then a newspaper offered to pay for one. They then changed their mind and said they wouldn’t.

23. Some months after they returned to England, the McCanns and their friends were asked by Portuguese police to take part in a reconstruction of the events of 3 May 2007. They all refused.

24. When asked by a Portuguese journalist from Sol to give some details about Madeleine’s abduction, the McCanns’ friend Dr David Payne said: “This is our matter only. We have a pact of silence. All comments must go through Gerry McCann”.

25. The McCanns’ friends gave three different versions of how often they were supposedly checking the children - hourly, half-hourly and ‘every 15 minutes’.

26. The Portuguese police did not believe that the McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner was telling the truth about the abductor she claimed to have seen. Following a series of mobile ’phone conversations between Gerry McCann and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Brown pressurised the Portuguese authorities to allow Gerry McCann himself to release a description based on Tanner’s dubious claims.

27. The Home Office refused the Portuguese police permission to examine the McCanns’ credit card and bank statements, mobile ’phone records and Madeleine’s medical records.

28. Gordon Brown was told that Portuguese detective Mr Amaral, who took the McCanns in for questioning, would be removed from his post before he himself was informed.

SECTION B. The evidence of the cadaver dogs

29. On British police advice, the Portuguese asked top dog handler Martin Grime to bring his springer spaniels, Eddie and Keela, to Praia da Luz. Eddie is trained to detect the scent of human corpses; Keela is a bloodhound. Eddie had never given a false alert in over 200 previous outings. He alerted to the odour of a human corpse in these locations: four different places in the McCanns’ apartment, two of Dr Kate McCann’s clothes, one of the children’s T-shirts, on the pink soft toy, ‘Cuddle Cat’, and in two places in the car the McCanns hired. Eddie did not alert to a corpse scent anywhere else in Praia da Luz. Keela detected blood, which may have been Madeleine’s blood, at some of these places.

30. When they heard about the dogs’ findings, the McCanns reacted strangely, claiming that…
The ‘smell of death’ may have been found on Kate’s clothes because she was said to have been close to six corpses in her last two weeks at work, on the pink soft toy ‘Cuddle Cat’ because she ‘sometimes took Cuddle Cat to work’, or that the ‘smell of death’ could have come from rotting meat that Gerry McCann was taking to the local rubbish dump from time to time
If Madeleine’s DNA, were to be found in the boot of their car, it may have come from the children’s dirty nappies they claimed they were carrying in the boot
Any blood found in the flat might have come from Madeleine ‘grazing her leg’ or suffering a nosebleed. In fact, with the help of Martin Grime’s bloodhound, the police found blood underneath the tiles below a window in the living room of the McCanns’ apartment.

31. The McCanns also claimed that sniffer dogs were ‘notoriously unreliable’. They quoted a U.S. case where a cadaver dog’s alert was said to be wrong. Months later, the dog’s alert was proved right.

32. In 2008, a Portuguese TV interviewer asked: “How can you explain the scent of cadaver found by the British dogs?” Kate McCann replied: “Maybe you should ask the judiciary. They have examined all evidence”. When the interviewer pressed Kate McCann for an explanation, Gerry McCann intervened, smirking, and replied: “Ask the dogs, Sandra”.

33. When the McCanns moved from their apartment to a villa in Praia da Luz, a neighbour saw their car boot left open all night long. A relative of the McCanns, Michael Wright, admitted to police that this was because of a horrible smell in the car. This was the same car where Eddie, the cadaver dog, alerted to the smell of a corpse.

34. Kate McCann clutched ‘Cuddle Cat’ in front of TV cameras, claiming it reminded her of Madeleine, and was ‘comforting’. Yet shortly before the sniffer dogs arrived, she washed Cuddle Cat, claiming it ‘smelled of sun tan lotion’. This would make forensic analysis of it much harder.

SECTION C. Strange things the McCanns have said and done

35. The McCanns ignored police advice not to publicise Madeleine’s distinctive mark in her right eye, a ‘coloboma’. They said that if she was with an abductor, it could place her life in danger. On 15 July 2009, Gerry McCann said: “We thought it was possible that publicising her coloboma could harm Madeleine. Her abductor might do something to her eye. But in marketing terms it was a good ploy”.

36. Kate McCann, in 2007, said: “I know that what happened is not due to the fact of us leaving the children asleep. I know it happened under other circumstances”.

37. On 3 June 2007, Gerry McCann said: “We want a big event to raise awareness she is still missing…It won’t be a one-year anniversary, it will be sooner than that”. On 28 June, he said: “I have no doubt we will be able to sustain a high profile for Madeleine’s disappearance in the long-term”.

38. On 11 December 2009, Gerry McCann said: “There is no evidence that we were involved in Madeleine’s death”. The previous year, the McCanns’ spokesman said: “Can I suggest you actually quote me accurately. I said: ‘I believe Kate and Gerry are not responsible for Madeleine’s death’.”

39. On 24 August 2007, Gerry McCann, in a Scottish TV interview, said: “In fact, one of the slight positives in all of this is that there is so much rumour about what did and didn't happen, it's actually very difficult, if you're reading the newspapers, watching TV, to know what is true and what's not”.

40. Asked to comment on his reaction at learning that Madeleine had been abducted, Dr Gerald McCann said: ‘It was like being told you were overdrawn on your student loan”.

41. Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman, said in September 2007: “There is a wholly innocent explanation for any material the police may or may not have found”.

42. Unlike most couples who lose a dear child, they did not cling to their other two children. Others cared for them while they flew round the world to meet the Pope, visit the U.S. and do TV interviews.

43. As with all of us, the McCanns’ body language may yield valuable clues. During TV interviews, the following conduct has been observed: avoiding eye contact, nervous twitching, tense facial expressions, shaking their heads while making various assertions, and touching or scratching their faces at difficult moments. They were seen smiling and laughing on what would have been Madeleine’s 4th birthday, just 10 days after she went missing. Many people say they have not seen evidence of the grief that couples would normally express if they had lost a much-loved daughter.

SECTION D. The Fund and the McCanns’ private detectives

44. Only 13% of the McCanns’ Find Madeleine Fund has been spent on searching for Madeleine. The Fund is a private company, not a charity. Much of it has been used on the McCanns’ legal expenses.

45. The first detectives the McCanns employed were the highly controversial Spanish group Metodo 3. Just before Christmas 2007, their boss, Francisco Marco, boasted his men were ‘closing in on Madeleine’s kidnappers’, promising ‘Madeleine will be home by Christmas’. These were lies.

46. Next, the McCanns turned to a private investigator called Kevin Halligen, who has various aliases. He set up a one-man company called Oakley International, formed after Madeleine disappeared. Yet the McCanns’ spokesman claimed Oakley were ‘the big boys’ in international private detection. The McCanns are said to have paid Halligen £500,000, which he squandered on high living and hard drinking, achieving nothing. At present (January 2011), he has been in Belmarsh High Security Prison over a year, awaiting extradition to the U.S., where he is required to answer $2 million fraud charges.

47. All the main ‘private investigation’ agencies used by the McCanns had expertise in such areas as money-laundering, fraud, state security and intelligence - not in finding missing children.

48. The McCanns have produced 16 different artists’ impressions of suspects, ‘persons of interest’ and ‘persons we wish to eliminate from our enquiries’. Yet despite their spending millions of pounds, we, the public, know nothing whatsoever about who is supposed to have abducted Madeleine.

49. The McCanns took legal action to ban Mr Amaral’s book on the case: ‘The Truth About A Lie’. They succeeded in September 2009. But in October 2010 the Portuguese Appeal Court lifted that ban. The McCanns are carrying on with their libel action against Mr Amaral, using their Fund to do so.

50. The McCanns said late last year that their Fund was running low and that the Fund ‘might run out of money soon’. Yet at the very same time, they were negotiating a multi-million pound book deal.

Fraud, lies and a missing three year old.

Ed Smart was way over his head with these two...they do not want the case re-opened because this means they would have to answer questions they refused  when made arguidos and of course they and their friends must return to carry out the  reconstruction  of May 3rd 2007, which will prove an abduction was impossible. Dr.David Payne also would be questioned about the paedophile allegations against him.

The Portuguese police have a secret file on the Investigation this includes statements from other witnesses. The McCanns have no idea what this file contains which makes them very twitchy. Madeleines parents are asking for a 'review' of the case, translated means they want the PJ to release the secret part of the investigation over to their 'mickey mouse' investigators. It will be a cold day in hell before this happens.

5. (C) Madeleine McCann’s disappearance in the south of Portugal in May 2007 has generated international media attention with controversy surrounding the Portuguese-led police investigation and the actions of Madeleine’s parents. Without delving into the details of the case, Ellis admitted that the British police had developed the current evidence against the McCann parents, and he stressed that authorities from both countries were working cooperatively. He commented that the media frenzy was to be expected and was acceptable as long as government officials keep their comments behind closed doors.

The Smarts may have fooled America...but the McCanns have fooled the Smarts

The Smarts have pulled the wool over the American peoples eyes, or have they? Who would dare to speak out now and accuse the Smarts of fraud ? There are a few American forums  discussing the case again and realising there is something wrong with this picture but too late and too long ago to change any crime that may have  been committed.

The McCanns, also committing fraud on a daily basis , there are inconsistancies in the fund and the lies told of a campaign in Spain that never happened.  There is also the matter of suggested paedophilia within the group of NHS doctors. Ed Smart, aware of the luxury of' knowing the right people' , rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous,  has now himself become one of the untouchables and it feels good.

The McCann's also have friends in high places. Ed Smart may have fooled America but Madeleines parents have fooled Ed Smart, I wonder how that makes him feel to have beeen used and made a fool of in such a blatant way ?   Now thats what I call Karma.

In the link below, a perfect example of the games the McCanns play...with their accomplices, the British media.

McCanns like the Smarts cashing in on their daughters...

Ed Smart ,or one of his advisers from 'Amber Alert 'gave the McCanns some good advice , the younger the child abducted by a paedophile the less 'serious' harm will come to them...We now have the McCann mantra , inspite of cadaver dog findings in several McCann 'hot spots' "There is no evidence she has come to any 'serious' harm''...I would like the McCanns to say in public what they think a paedophile would do to a three year old child...I would also like any American to think what they would have thought while Elizabeth was missing and cadaver dogs picked up on her in her home , her mothers clothing and the trunk of her fathers car???? Would the American people claim DNA (without her body) was planted by the FBI to stitch up the Smarts ?

Smarts v McCanns sound familiar ???'

Where's Maddie?A US TV programme last night aired never seen before video footage of Kate and Gerry McCann in the early stages of the hunt for their missing daughter.

The previously unseen clips, filmed by McCann family friend John Corner, was shown on the American investigative show ‘48 Hours Mystery’. In the intimate footage Gerry can been seen working tirelessly on his computer putting together posters and printing them in Spanish and Portuguese.

The video also shows Kate doing her best to cope and shows her washing the family’s laundry. Independent producer Corner, who is godfather to their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, told CBS reporter Peter Van Sant that the family is doing everything they can to find out more.

He said: “The first thing you notice is that Gerry never stops working from the moment he gets up. He’s trying so hard to find Madeleine. I don’t know where he gets his energy from.”
Corner also spoke of how Kate deals with the strain of losing her daughter.

He said: “Kate copes by doing the day to day normal tasks – but she suffers more. Gerry can cut out the pain through working. Kate is able to face that pain head on and sometimes lets herself to be overtaken by it.”

Gerry and Kate also told John on the video how they regret leaving Maddie alone in the apartment.

Gerry McCann said: “We’re always left with the fact that Kate and I were not in the apartment when it happened, and we’ve got to face up to that.”

Kate added: ” There’s not a day that goes by that I think to myself why did I think that was okay? Was I wrong in thinking that was okay? All I can think to myself is I know how much I love my children, and I know I am a responsible parent.”

The CBS show last night aired an interview with key witness Jane Tanner who believes she was the last person to see Madeleine alive. Marketing executive Tanner, 38, from Exeter, is the first out of the group of friends who were part of dinner party with the McCanns on the night of May 3 to speak publicly.

She told the programme she saw a man possibly carrying the missing toddler away from the Portuguese resort of Praia Da Luz.

She said: “I never in a million years thought it could have been Madeleine.”

“I was walking up the road and this man was walking across the top of the road carrying a small child.”

Tanner, who was one of the so-called ‘Tapas Nine’ – says she saw the man carrying a bare-footed child wearing pink pajamas.

She said: “The thing that I could notice the most was that I could see her bare feet and the bottom of her pajamas.”

Tanner said she initially thought nothing of it, but is now certain that she saw the abduction in progress.

“When I first saw him I thought this man looks a bit odd. “At that point I didn’t think it was Madeleine being abducted.”

She revealed that she told police what she saw that same night.

“As soon as the police arrived, they were brought to the apartment and I told them what I’d seen. And then the CID people arrived a little later, so I again told them exactly what I’d seen.”

Her description led to the artist’s impression distributed by the family a month ago Madeleine, four, went missing from her family’s apartment on May 3, while her parents dined nearby at a tapas bar.

The McCanns became prime suspects in the case when Portuguese police confirmed they were being investigated after Maddie’s DNA was reportedly found in their rented car. Kate’s mother Susan Healy told the US programme that believes her daughter is innocent, and has nothing to do with the missing toddler.

She said: “I know my daughter and know how much Madeleine meant to her. My daughter had nothing to do with the disappearance of Madeleine.”

Mrs Healy also spoke of how Kate had asked her if she would get more sympathetic press if she looked like an ordinary mother.

Susan revealed: “She said to me ‘mum I wonder if I was heavier, with a bigger bosom and looked more maternal if I would get better press?’ I think it’s disgusting my daughter has had to answer those questions. She doesn’t deserve this.

John Coroner also told of how he believes that evidence may be being planted and that when the initial DNA test on the car was suggested the McCanns believed they were closer to finding their daughter.

He said: ” When the Renault was being taken away to be forensically tested, Kate and Gerry were massively optimistic, they thought they must have a clue or a lead. I am worried that evidence is being planted to incriminate them.”

The show also featured US private investigator Joe Moura, a Portuguese speaker who went undercover for almost two weeks at the Praia da Luz resort to discover the truth behind Madeleine’s disappearance. The show also aired some of his undercover footage he filmed while staying at the resort.

He explained how the McCanns were lying when they told the media that they could see the apartment door from where they were sitting at the dinner table of the tapas bar.

He said: “It’s impossible, there’s a wall, there are some hedges on the way. They would have had absolutely no possibility of seeing someone going in or out of that apartment from where they were that evening.”

He also went on to explain their dinner routine, having spoken to staff that were working at the resort where the McCanns were staying.

Moura said: ” Their routine was similar. They arrived at dinner and stayed there till 12.30 and that routine was being watched by someone who was fixated with Madeleine.
Moura goes on to add that he believes the McCanns are innocent, after speaking with staff, who observed that Kate and Gerry were behaving normally and not like they had killed their daughter.

He said: “People say they killed their daughter, but they were able to have dinner with friends like nothing happened. I’m not buying that – it’s a crazy thought.”

He added: “Whatever the parents are, they are not killers of their daughter. The child was abducted. It was a perfect situation – a solid routine with the parents, an apartment that wasn’t locked, easy access and an easy exit.”

Franciso Marco, a Spanish private investigator hired by a wealthy supporter of the McCanns, also claims in the programme to have answers that will explain the girl’s disappearance.

He said: “We are 100 per cent sure she is alive. We know the kidnapper. We know who he is and we know how he has done it.”

When pressed for details, Marco would not reveal what he in fact knew.

He said: I cannot reveal anything because we are still working on this case.”

In addition to the new footage, the show also featured interviews with John Ramsey, the father of murdered child beauty queen, Jon Benet Ramsey. as well as Ed Smart, the father of Elizabeth Smart, who disappeared and was found nine months later, in their first interviews about the McCann case.

Smart wept on the programme as he revealed how his own daughter’s disappearance led to him being the subject of smear stories in the media.

He said: “Many of the stories were so outrageous. It really was taking away from finding Elizabeth.”

He also told how Gerry had called him and expressed his frustration at the Portuguese police investigation.

Smart said: “He said ‘Ed as soon as they took whatever they thought they had in the car for DNA analysis, I felt like the investigation came to a complete halt’.”

And relating to how Kate’s lack of tears and brave face had led to a whispering campaign, John Ramsey said: “Tell me what a grieving parent looks like? I think any psychologist will tell you every person reacts differently.”

The 48 Hours Mystery show was prepared in co-operation with the BBC and Portugal’s SIC television.

Comment: To be fair John Ramsey and Ed Smart at this time had no knowledge of the Dr. Gaspar statement alleging paedophilia amongst the group of doctors...But the McCanns were fully aware Leicestershire Police Force were holding this back from the Investigation.

The Gaspar statement , not a piece of gossip or fodder for the press that the McCanns like Ed Smart can sue  and have removed from the internet. This information is part of an Investigation and the assumed accidental death of three year old Madeleine in apartment 5a.

The Doctors Gaspar statement....

LOOK at the photograph in the side bar the day Elizabeth was found, look at her face...then try and believe this drivel

Viti: Did he ever tell you to refer to him and Wanda Barzee as mom and dad?
Smart: There was a time he told me to refer to him and Wanda as mom and dad, but it was only in public.
Viti: Did the defendant use vulgar language while being held in Utah?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Could you describe when he used such language?
Smart: He used it fairly frequent, but he would especially use it while he was drinking or before he would rape me.
Viti: Would he use vulgar language to refer to the male and female genitalia?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Would he use that kind of language before raping?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Were there other times he would use vulgar language?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Would you explain to the jury those times?
Smart: Um, he would use vulgar language. Well um, there came a time when he said that we had to sink below all things so one day we could rise above all things, and he brought pornography in the camp and he would talk about the women using vulgar terms.
Viti: The pornography, was that in California or in Utah?
Smart: That was in California.
Viti: Focus on the time in Utah. Were there times he would use vulgar language when he returned from Salt Lake City or return to the camp?
Judge, I wonder if it would be appropriate to repeat a phrase used.
Judge: Yes.
Viti: When he was returning to the camp did he ever say to you “I’m going to f*** your eyes out”?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Would he do that often?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: What would happen when he returned to the camp and said that?
Smart: He would rape me.
Viti: And on these occasions before he would rape you would he refer to religion in any way?
Smart: No.
Viti: Ms. Smart, did there come a time when the defendant removed the cable from your ankle?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Could you describe the events leading up to him removing the cable?
Smart: Um. The night before he gave me a key to wear around my neck and then the next morning he cut the cable off my ankle.
Viti: What did he tell you when he gave you the key? Did he tell you anything about that key?
Smart: Um ... not that I can recall.
Viti: Is this the key that was on the green lanyard? [Viti holds up a key.]
Smart: Yes.
Viti: That evening when you had that key, what were the sleeping arrangements? Where they the same as when you described them yesterday?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: What would you have had to do to use that key to unlock the lock?
Smart: I would have had to stand up right next to him, unzip the tent right next to this head, go outside and unlock the lock that connected me onto the stationary cable, coil my cable up and run down the mountainside.
Viti: Would you have had to climb over the defendant in order to reach the tent zipper?
Smart: No.
Viti: What kind of sleeper was the defendant?
Smart: He was a light sleeper.
Viti: What happened the next day?
Smart: The next day, he took the bolt cutters out and cut the cable off my ankle.
Viti: Did he say anything to you before he removed the cable?
Smart: He said, “Even though you have this cable removed of your ankle now, that doesn’t change the fact that you will be killed if you try to escape. Your family will be killed. (If you try to escape).”
Viti: When he removed the cable did he dismantle the other components of the cabling system?
Smart: No.
Viti: After the defendant removed the cable from your ankle, did the sleeping arrangements in the tent change?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Could you describe that for the jury?
Smart: Yes. Instead of our head being at the zipper of the tent, we did a quarter turn so our bodies were parallel to the tent door. I was farthest away next to the tent wall. The back of the tent, he was next to me. His wife was right in front of the tent door.
Viti: Ms. Smart, while you were still untethered were you ever left alone in the camp?
Smart: No.
Viti: Ms. Smart, I’d like to turn your attention to the date of July 23-24, 2002. Do you recall what occurred on those dates?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Can you tell us what occurred?
Smart: Yes. He decided it was time to go and kidnap another little girl to become another wife.
Viti: Who was that other young girl? Did he I.D. her?
Smart: Yes. It was my cousin.
Viti: How was it the defendant knew about your cousin?
Smart: I had talked about when I was younger, I used to go over to her house and I used to play with her. We grew up being very close.
Viti: Did you tell the defendant how old your cousin was?
Smart: He asked me like if she babysat me or if she was my age. She is my age.
Viti: Before you told him her age, he asked you if she babysat you?
Smart: Yeah.
Viti: During these conversations with the defendant, describe the conversations you had with the defendant about your cousin.
Smart: I would just mostly talk about times we shared together. She was one of my really ... one of my closest friends at that time. He would act interested and engaged (in what I was saying). I didn’t think anything else of it at the time.
Viti: When you were having these conversations did you have any knowledge of what he told you he intended to do on July 23 and 24?
Smart: No.
Viti: On July 23 what occurred?
Smart: He prepared to go down to Salt Lake and go and kidnap my cousin.
Viti: in the general vicinity, where did your cousin live at that time?
Smart: She lived very, very close to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Viti: What preparations did you observe him making before he left that day?
Smart: I was watching him pack the green bags that he had used when he had kidnapped me.
Viti: What did you see him pack into the green bags?
Smart: I saw him pack into the green bags some ... a change of clothing, different from his robes. I saw him pack duct tape. I saw him pack a knife. I saw him pack ... I recall him packing some food and water.
Viti: Your honor, may Special Agent Paproch talk to the witness please?
Judge: Yes he may.
Viti: Thank you. ... Ms. Smart, I ask you to look at government exhibit 42 in evidence. Do you recognize government exhibit 42?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: What do you recognize that to be?
Smart: One of his green bags that he would use.
Viti: And is government exhibit 42 similar to one of the bags you saw him pack on July 23? Is government exhibit 42 similar to the bags you saw on the morning of June 5, 2002?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: Your honor, may we publish it?
Judge: You may.
Viti: Ms. Smart, I’d ask you to look at government exhibit 25. Do you recognize government exhibit 25?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: What do you recognize that to be?
Smart: Um ... the knife that he had with him.
Viti: Ms. Smart, referring to government exhibit 25, when you saw him pack that knife ... when you say he had with him ... is that on July 23, 2002?
Smart: Yes.
Viti: When you saw that knife on July 23, 2002. Did the defendant say anything to you?
Smart: Yes. He asked if I recognized it.
Viti: What was he doing when he asked that?
Smart: He was holding it in his hands, holding it up.
Viti: What did you say to him?
    Smart: I said yes.
    Viti: What happened after?
Smart: He asked me if I remembered what he said too.
Viti: What did you tell him?
Smart: I tried to repeat what he said to me the night he kidnapped me. But I didn’t say it exactly the way he said it. So he repeated it back to me word for word.
    Viti: What did he say?
Smart: I don’t know if I can repeat it exactly now. I have a knife at your neck. Don’t make a sound or I will kill you or your family. Get up and come with me.
Viti: Does government exhibit 25 look like the knife you saw on June 5, 2002?
    Smart: Yes.
    Viti: What’s similar about it?
Smart: It has a blade and the blade has a jagged part on it. The blade is connected to the handle. It’s not a pocketknife or foldable or slidable at all.
Viti: Judge, may that be published?
Judge Kimball: Yes, it may be published.
Viti: I ask that you look at government exhibit 26. Do you recognize government exhibit 26?
    Smart: Yes.
Viti: What do you recognize it to be?
Smart: The sheath of the knife.
Viti: What else is included in government exhibit 26?
    Smart: A blue sash.
Viti: Did you see that sheath and sash on July 23?
    Smart: Yes.
Viti: Did he put that knife in the bag on July 23?
    Smart: Yes.
    Viti: May we publish it?
    Judge Kimball: You may.
Viti: Ms. Smart, can you describe the duct tape that you saw him put in the bag?
Smart: It was on a cardboard cylinder like the kind in the middle of a roll of toilet paper and he wrapped it around it.
    Viti: Why?
Smart: He said it was to save on weight and room.
Viti: Look at government Exhibit 35. Do you recognize it?
Smart: Yes. It’s duct tape around a cardboard cylinder.
Viti: Does that look like the duct tape he wrapped around the cardboard cylinder on July 23?
    Smart: Yes.
    Viti: May we publish it?
    Judge Kimball: You may.
Viti: Ms. Smart, can you describe the clothing you saw him pack in the backpack?
Smart: It was dark clothing, the same he used to kidnap me in, a stocking cap, dark shirt, dark sweats.
Viti: What clothing did he leave in?
Smart: He left in the linen robes.
Viti: Did he tell you how he was going to kidnap your cousin?
Smart: He said that he was going to, um, he was going to try the same way he kidnapped me and he would take her back into Big Cottonwood Canyon and hike over the different mountains until he came into the canyon we were in.
Viti: Did there come a time on July 23 when the defendant left the camp?
    Smart: Yes.
Viti: Did there come a time when he returned?
Smart: Not on the 23rd but on the 24th.
Viti: Can you tell us what happened when he returned on the 24th?
Smart: He came back and said we weren’t ready to receive another wife yet and he talked about what had happened a at the Wrights’ home.
Viti: What did he tell you?
Smart: He said he had snuck around the back. There was a window that was slightly open, he pulled it and opened it a little bit more.

Dr.Goncalo Amaral..who Gerry McCann accused of planting evidence, repeated by Ed Smart on Larry King Live

Dr.Goncalo Amaral, the ex co-ordinator in the McCann case. Dr.Amaral has had the ban on his book over-tuned but the McCanns have their lawyers Carter Ruck preventing this news from appearing in the British press. The reason, it contains the Gaspar statement.

Accidental death and hiding of cadaver

Ed Smart and the Doctors Gaspar statement.

Had Ed Smart known of the Gaspar statement held back from the Portuguese investigation for six months, suggesting paedophilia amongst the group of doctors, would he have still helped the McCanns.? Had Ophrah Winfrey profiled the McCann case and done her homework, read the police files and seen the statement  would she still have invited them on her show ?. I would like to think not on both counts, I would like to believe that Ed Smart despite his past mistakes finds paedophilia as abhorrent as I. Remember this is not gossip from the local rag, this is part of a police investigation about a missing three year old child.

A question for for Ed Smart .....

    1) Why did Ed Smart, who was informed by his daughter ,there was an armed gunman in the house  rush into the street calling on neighbors....leaving his family alone.?

Kate McCann also claims her daughter was abducted by a paedophile, when the ' alleged abductor 'may have well still been in the apartment she left two babies to run back to the tapas bar more than 100 metres away.

The Judiciária's 48 questions that Kate McCann refused to answer...

1 On the 3rd of May 2007, at around 10 p.m., when you entered the apartment, what did you see, what did you do, where did you search, what did you handle?

2 Did you search in the couple's bedroom closet? (said she would not reply)

3 (Two photographs of her bedroom's closet are exhibited) Can you describe its contents?

4 Why are the curtains in front of the side window, behind the sofa (photograph is exhibited) ruffled? Did someone pass behind that sofa?

5 How long did the search that you made in the apartment after detecting the disappearance of your daughter Madeleine take?

6 Why did you say straight away that Madeleine had been abducted?
7 Presuming that Madeleine had been abducted, why did you leave the twins alone at home while you went to the Tapas to raise the alarm? Even because the supposed abductor could still be inside the apartment.

8 Why didn't you ask the twins at that moment what had happened to their sister, or why didn't you ask them at a later point in time?

9 When you raised the alarm at the Tapas, what exactly did you say and what were the words?

10 What happened after you raised the alarm at the Tapas?

11 Why did you go to warn your friends instead of calling out from the balcony?

    12 Who contacted the authorities?

13 Who participated in the searches?

14 Did anyone outside of the group learn about Maddie's disappearance during the following minutes?

15 Did any neighbour offer you help after the disappearance?

16 What does the expression "we let her down" mean?

17 Did Jane mention to you that she had seen a man with a child that night?

18 How were the authorities contacted and which police force was called?

19 During the searches, and already with the police present, in what locations was Maddie searched for, how and in what manner?

20 Why didn't the twins wake up during that search, or when they went to the upper floor?

21 Who did you call after the facts?

22 Did you call SKY News?

23 Did you know about the danger of calling the media, because that could influence the abductor?

24 Did you request the presence of a priest?

25 How was Madeleine's face publicised, with a photograph, or other media?

26 Is it true that during the search you remained seated on Maddie's bed without moving?

27 How did you behave that evening?

28 Did you manage to sleep?

29 Before the trip to Portugal, did you comment on a bad feeling or a bad premonition?

    30 What was Madeleine's behaviour?

31 Did Maddie suffer of any disease or did she take any kind of medication?

32 What was the relationship like between Madeleine and her siblings?

33 What was the relationship like between Madeleine and her siblings, her friends and her colleagues at school?

34 Concerning your professional life, in how many and in which hospitals have you worked?

35 What is your medical specialty?

36 Did you work by shifts, in emergency rooms or in other departments?

37 Did you work on a daily basis?

38 Did you stop working at a certain point in time? Why?

39 Do your twin children have difficulty in falling asleep, are they unruly and does that upset you?

40 Is it true that at certain times you were desperate over your children's attitude and that left you upset?

41 Is it true that in England you considered the possibility of handing over Madeleine's guardianship to a relative?

42 In England, did you give your children medication? What type of medication?

43 Within the process, you were shown films of cynotechnical inspection of forensic character, where the dogs can be seen marking indications of human cadaver odour and equally human blood traces, and only of human origin, as well as all the comments that were made by the responsible expert. After the visualisation, and after cadaver odour was signalled in your bedroom next to the wardrobe and behind the sofa that was pushed against the living room window, you said that you could not explain anything apart from what you had already said?

44 You said that you could not explain anything apart from what you had already said, concerning the marking of human blood behind the sofa by the detection dog?

45 You said that you could not explain anything apart from what you had already said, concerning the marking of cadaver odour in the boot of the vehicle that you rented a month after the disappearance?

46 You said that you could not explain anything apart from what you had already said, concerning the marking of human blood in the boot of the vehicle?

47 You said that you could not explain anything apart from what you had already said, upon being confronted with the result of the collection of Maddie's DNA, which was analysed by a British lab, behind the sofa and inside the vehicle's boot?

48 Did you have any responsibility or intervention in the disappearance of your daughter?

The 'one' question that she answered

Are you aware of the fact that by not answering these questions you may compromise the investigation, which is trying to find out what happened to your daughter?

She said "Yes, if the investigation thinks so".
